As partner in Hogan Lovells’ International Arbitration Group, Thomas Kendra has extensive experience acting for companies and States in commercial and investment arbitrations and mediations. Thomas’ expertise includes the energy, aerospace, technology, construction and telecommunications sectors and investment arbitration. Dual-qualified in England and France, he is passionate about encouraging the growth of alternative dispute resolution, notably in Africa and Asia. He collaborated in establishing the Kigali International Arbitration Centre (KIAC) in Rwanda and remains on the KIAC’s Board and Executive Committee, work for which he was shortlisted for Solicitor of the Year by the Law Society. Thomas regularly presents and publishes on ADR in Africa and also teaches at the University of Versailles.
